Fist King - Prologue - Episode 7: Beyond Crushing Logs

Fist King: I Will Save the Earth from Zero in Another Reincarnation, Starting from Real World

Initiation ② Beyond Crushing Logs

About a week after I started going to the training ground, I was able to smash a log in 30 minutes. Since I had successfully learned Physical Ability Improvement, I could continuously swing a mace at full strength for an hour by applying appropriate healing.

Convinced that I could utilize my knowledge, my next goal was to raise my Mace Proficiency Level to 10. If you continue to use stamina, you can acquire Stamina Recovery Improvement, which has no acquisition conditions. However, no matter how much magic power you use, you cannot acquire Magic Power Recovery Improvement. The condition to acquire the Magic Power Recovery Improvement skill is to raise the proficiency of a mace or staff to Level 10. (To continue fighting, the more magic power you have, the more advantageous it is, so acquiring this skill is essential.)

As usual, I tried to apply to borrow a mace, but perhaps because it's not a frequently used weapon, my name was listed repeatedly in the mace lending section. When I tried to submit the lending slip, the receptionist, unlike usual, looked at me with concern. Wondering what was wrong, I looked back at him, and he asked if I had any problems. I replied that I didn't have any and asked him to lend me a mace quickly, and he reluctantly handed it over. (Did I overdo it, I wonder?)

When I observe this training ground during breaks, I've only seen people running on the track or people coming to try out new weapons. There's no one like me who spends hours hitting logs. (That's probably why they were strangely concerned today.)

Deciding not to worry about it, I secured the log as usual and raised my mace. As I was about to hit the log with the mace, I started thinking this: (If I just crush it as usual, will I get any better at using it?)

Lowering the mace I had raised, I started to wonder what I should do. Yesterday, too, I had been swinging the mace since morning, crushing ten logs. I had started to beg my mother for money every day, telling her I needed to train, and today she was reluctant to give it to me. (She might not give it to me tomorrow...)

Thinking that, I found it difficult to crush the log easily. Looking around for a change of pace, I saw a girl about my age with a ponytail swinging a sword. Perhaps watching her swing, I also saw what looked like her father nearby. Since acquiring the DWC, my own father has been playing the DWC every night after coming home from work. I think he should move his real body a bit, but seeing my past self, I couldn't say anything.

While thinking such things and watching the girl swinging her sword, an idea struck me: (I'll try making a sword!) I had previously seen someone carve a wooden sculpture by shaving a log with a chainsaw. I set my next goal as doing the same thing with a mace. (It looks difficult, but it will be better practice for swinging the mace than before.)

I raised my mace and began swinging it, just enough to shave off a little wood.
