Fist King - Prologue - Episode 5: Skill Discovery, Questions
Fist King: I Will Save the Earth from Zero in Another Reincarnation, Starting from Real World
Prologue ⑤ Skill Discovery, Questions
My mother glanced at me and sighed in exasperation.
"Is it... not there?"
"What do you mean, 'not there'? The results are right here."
My mother stood up, took a blue envelope from the cupboard, and handed it to me.
"You'll submit this at the entrance guidance, so don't lose it."
"Thanks, got it."
As I took the envelope, my mother cautioned me before sitting back down in her chair.
[Shizuoka First District Central Hospital, Satou Kazuya-sama]
Looking at the envelope I received, my name was clearly written on it. Inside, there was a single sheet of paper. I pulled it out; it was the skill results sheet from the blood test.

(What is this...? Are these the skills I have now?)
As I looked at the test results, disappointed at how low they were, my father approached me.
"The VR setup is done."
"Thanks..."
My father seemed surprised, perhaps by my unexpected reaction, and looked at me. As I started looking at the results again, my father peered over my shoulder at the paper I was holding.
"These results show the training has paid off well!"
"Training?"
"We practiced with swords and went shooting together, didn't we? And you ran every day, so your Physical Recovery Up has also increased."
Seeing my father speak proudly, I realized that these skills were probably not low for someone my age. However, if I were to equate this to a game, I only had 5 skill points.
Since 1 skill point is granted when a level increases by 1, my level would be 5.
As I remained silent, my father continued to speak.
"I never thought you'd fail the junior high school entrance exam, so I'm looking forward to what comes next!"
He said that to me with a smile, then took the paper and put it back in the envelope. I still wanted to look at it and confirm, but my father smiled at me while looking at the game.
"More importantly, since the setup is done, let's try the game."
"It's late today, so I'm good..."
"Then, I'll use it."
I watched my father happily head toward the VR device. Disappointed with the skill results, I said goodnight to my parents and returned to my room.
As I lay face down on my bed, emptiness filled my heart.
(There are monsters, dungeons, and I can use skills and magic, but I'm so weak...)
Skills that increase in games just by tapping an arrow on the skill screen don't increase freely in reality. As I was thinking about that, I remembered the skills written on the paper and realized something.
(Sword Proficiency and Gun Proficiency are mixed?!)
Noticing the strange skill composition, I sat up and started to think.
(Sword Proficiency is a skill that allows you to choose a swordsman-type profession, and Gun Proficiency shouldn't be obtainable with a swordsman-type.)
Upon realizing that, I had something new I wanted to investigate, so I picked up my smartphone. If my thoughts were correct, this world seemed incredibly appealing.
I found a glimmer of hope and began my search, wishing it would be as I imagined.
During my search, I became confident in my thoughts. I decided to prepare for action starting tomorrow before going to bed.
I found the vitality to live from now on and was too excited to sleep.
