Fist King - Prologue - Episode 1: End of the Fist Fighter
Fist King: I Will Save the Earth from Zero in Another Reincarnation, Starting from Real World
Prologue ① End of the Fist Fighter
"Phoenix Wave Fist!!!!"
A full-power blow, transforming into a phoenix, struck Pharaoh, Master of the Lonely King's Pyramid.
Screaming his death throes, Pharaoh collapsed.
Pharaoh was the only opponent in the VRMMORPG "Versus Online" that had to be challenged solo within the dungeon. Many players had their spirits broken trying to conquer this master and gave up on clearing this dungeon.
Since the game's service termination was announced half a year ago, I had spent all my time strengthening my character to defeat this master. And now, finally, I achieved the goal of conquering all dungeon masters.
(Ah, I finally managed to finish it...)
Since buying the game, I had barely attended school, and after being forcefully thrust into society, I had lived within this game world. Finally, I achieved my goal.
The moment I took off the VR headset, I collapsed from my chair to the floor.
"I can't feel my body..."
Now that I thought about it, for the past two weeks, I had only been thinking about defeating Pharaoh, and I remembered that I hadn't eaten properly. Because of that, my body had become debilitated.
I desperately tried to look around for food, but my body wouldn't move anymore.
(But I've achieved my goal and have no regrets, so dying with the game is probably what I wanted...)
Even if I felt like I was hearing voices from the VR device that I had supposedly turned off, it no longer mattered to me. Thinking that, I closed my eyes and lost consciousness.
Just before losing consciousness, I felt a faint light on my eyelids.
"Wake up quickly!!"
Along with that voice, dazzling light burst into my eyes.
The curtains were open, and my mother, backlit by the morning sun, wore an angry expression.
As I wondered if I hadn't died, my mother approached me and grew even angrier.
"Just because it's a day off doesn't mean you can sleep forever! Come down quickly before breakfast gets cold."
She declared, and with loud footsteps, my mother left.
(Why is Mom here?)
I've been living alone since graduating high school. Despite that, I was troubled that my mother, who shouldn't have been here, woke me up.
Unable to comprehend the situation, I went downstairs as my mother had told me to. The layout from my room to the living room was exactly like my parents' house. The living room also presented a scene that looked familiar to me.
I didn't know why I was here and just stared at the living room. Breakfast was laid out on the living room table, and my younger-looking father was reading a newspaper and drinking coffee at the table.
"Sit down and eat quickly."
My mother saw me and urged me.
Hearing my mother's words, I hurriedly sat down in a chair.
As I started eating breakfast, my father turned towards me.
"You're planning to go shopping together today, right? You were looking forward to your enrollment celebration so much; did you oversleep?"
I couldn't understand what my father said and repeatedly thought about what he had asked in my head.
(Enrollment celebration? Whose?)
"Um..."
"You didn't really want VR that much to begin with, did you?"
As I remained unable to answer, my mother, at the table, said to my father with a displeased look.
(Looking closely, Mom is young too... What kind of situation is this now...)
Before I became even more confused, I wanted to return to my room and confirm the current situation. For that, I ate the breakfast in front of me as quickly as possible.
As I finished breakfast and headed for my room, my mother spoke to me while watching TV.
"If you really wanted it, get ready in 30 minutes."
"Got it."
I gave a vague reply to my mother's words and headed to the washbasin to wash my face.
In the washbasin mirror, a child I recognized was reflected.
(Is this... me...?)
I moved my hands and body as if to ascertain if the mirror was real, but they moved in the same way. Staring at my reflection in the mirror, I confirmed that my body had become smaller.
(I don't understand this situation...)
As I approached the living room to return to my room, the TV reported that animal-type monsters had collided with a car, causing a traffic jam.
